Flying Baseballs

As soon as I closed my eyes and began the Energy Restoration Therapy session I was surprised at what was flying out of her midsection. First it was baseballs. Then hockey gear, lacrosse supplies, soccer balls and so on. Sport equipment flew out of her body for quite a while. As usual I mended the area and recorded this to be discussed later.

This woman had arrived in my office for a couple of reasons. She was having issues in her stomach with digesting food. But was more concerned about the ongoing pattern in her life of never getting the job she wanted or the promotion she was hoping for. When it came to her career she always felt like she fell just short of reaching her goals and that someone else was always better than her. Self confidence was an issue she had been dealing with for a while.

As we sat down for the post-session discussion the first thing I asked her was, “What’s up with the sports equipment flying out of your body?” She had no clue. I asked her if she had children that played sports. “Nope”. I asked if she was part of any sport teams or clubs. “Nope”. In fact, she explained that she never played sports nor does she watch them. I was a little baffled by this but we continued the discussion and finished the session.

As she was walking out the door I heard her pause. I looked up to see her turn around and with eyes wide she exclaimed, “I know what the sports equipment is all about!” She went on to tell me that when she was a little girl the two parts of school that she hated most were gym and recess because she was not good at sports. She was always picked last. She was that girl left in line that nobody wanted on their team.

This emotional scarring had made an imprint on her body that basically told her she was not good enough. She was not #1. This pattern was still being played out in her career today as she struggled to get the job she wanted and get picked first! It truly amazes me the way our past experiences remain a part of us, usually tucked away in the subconscious without us knowing, until one day we decided to allow ourselves to heal.
