Children’s Corner: Journal Response
This is an important time for children as they are also going through an awakening in 2014. Allowing them to express their true selves is key to their growth.
A great way to support their inner expression is through journaling. Take your kids to buy a cool looking journal. Spend a couple minutes modeling how to use a journal…include things like date, title, pictures, etc. Then tell them you are going to respond to their entries a couple times a week. Collect their journal, read and write back. This will not only spark their interest in journaling but will allow you to elicit certain responses regarding feelings, emotions and desires your child may have. ENJOY!
