A Gaze into a Recent Reading

This is a time in your life in which you’re being given the opportunity to release some of the stress/baggage you carry that causes you mental agitation and at times, feels like a cloud of heaviness over your head and back. Part of this time period is about learning the techniques and strategies that can release the stress here and now and continue the inner cleanup process moving forward. There is a learning happening for you in which you get to experience, first hand, the inner lightness that can be felt as you let go. What’s more, this stress release process will allow you to feel more comfortable in your own skin causing the movie that is your life to shift and change.

So it’s cleanup time. At the moment all you need to do is believe it to be possible and get started. In some ways, this might actually be challenging for you. Not because you don’t understand or don’t resonate with what I’m saying. But because deep down within you there are a few beliefs systems getting in the way. These are subconscious tendencies that were set in place in your childhood or before. One of these unfounded beliefs is, “Life’s a bitch and then you die.” Believe it or not a subconscious part of you only feel whole, complete and worthy if life is difficult. NO MORE! Of course life is challenging at times. Of course we’re going to have bad days and feel heavy emotions. But it doesn’t have to feel like a heavy birthright or ongoing cross to bear. It’s time to loosen up and let go. Before we dive deeper into this reading let me list a few strategies to support this clean up and let go process you’re in. 

  1. Learn Heart Based Meditation (I can teach this for no cost.). While I strongly recommend Heart Based Meditation consistently practicing any type of meditation is a great place to start.
  2. Practice “Noticing”
  3. Practice “Savoring”
  4. Build an Ancestor Alter

Another technique to be used is to create an ancestor alter. You can include pictures of your ancestors or items that represent them. Then, add some items that are happy, joyful or that represent a breaking free from the old, “life’s a bitch” habits and belief systems. Pray to and call on your ancestors to help you with this. They are open and interested in supporting you on this journey. The work you’re doing here, to re-wire oneself and upgrade your belief systems, is not just for you. Typically, when we walk the conscious path and take steps towards self improvement we are impacting our bloodline forwards and backwards. Our ancestors are jumping for joy and very supportive.

In order to solidify this new way of being it will be important for you to have a healthy and solid routine that incorporates your spiritual practices. You want to reduce “heaviness” in all ways. So start by creating some time to analyze your life a little bit. Make a few changes. Choose to exercise in a way that creates lightness. This could mean incorporating cardiovascular exercise, stretching, yoga and more. Take a look at your diet. Is it time for a cleanse? Or maybe just a good idea to reduce some of the heavier foods you may be taking (i.e. meat, cheese, dairy, sugars). If needed talk to a Ayurvedic practitioner or health coach to get support on this. I also see that sweating once in a while would be great for you. So consider a sauna or look into an occasional sweat lodge. The sweat lodge remedy would be great here because it incorporates the spiritual realms. You could make a sauna a spiritual experience as well by simply having an intention before entering or meditating while sweating. 

Please understand that there’s something deep happening here. And it’s related to the other core belief pattern you are currently in the process of breaking free from. And that’s regarding your own heart’s needs and desires. When we haven’t taken the time to relieve the body of stress, life can, sneakily become more about carrying the weight of the stress than about living. Life can become more about stress management than about experiencing the present moment. Stress management is like the behind the scenes, full time job that doesn’t pay but only takes away from. We unknowingly wake up every day plotting a course through life that deals with the stress or pain we carry rather than taking a moment to breathe and ask our heart or higher self what it wants to experience today or what it needs. The number one thing you are to do right now in life is clean up and let go as we’ve been talking about. But part two of this, I’d say starting in a month or two, once you get your new routine going, is to listen to what your heart and body want to say. What unanswered needs do you have? Listen closely. You have a right to fullness. You you have a right to experience joy. You have a right to experience the precious beauty that life is and that is surrounding you every moment of every day. You don’t gain in life from pure hardship and pain. You gain in life from fullness and the learning that the more you have the more you have to give. 

 

Unflappable and Untrappable

Oh how grandiose your desires for life can be! For too long and way too often you sell yourself short thwarting the magnificent potential seeded within you. Understand there’s nothing more the Divine God wants for you than peace, joy, love and happiness. However time and time again your well intentioned, yet absolutely preposterous, thinking-mind quickly steps in the way slowing down or shutting down the magic. The thinking mind’s toolbox: layer upon layer of false beliefs about oneself and the world around you. It would take too long to list all the potential beliefs you accidentally picked up from life. For now, just know that they’re there. Like many have said in the past, over identification with the physical body and the physical world limits you and gets in the way of the peace, love and joy available to you. Now’s the time to fully step into the belief that you’re much more that you know. You don’t have to understand it all or know how you’re going to figure it all out. Just begin to separate from the belief that you’re separate. Meaning, believe that your physical body is truly a vehicle. A vehicle that’s transporting the actual you, which is a limitless spirit. A spirit that is unflappable and untrappable. The light of God lives in you. Keep saying your prayers and helping others. It’s working. 

From this understanding we can see more clearly why it may be beneficial for you to do some type of regular spiritual practice that supports this belief in growing within you. Not because the physical body is bad or anything but a gift. But because the more you connect with this truth of your life the more compassion, respect, honor, appreciation, energy and love you gain for yourself, your life and those around you.
