Don’t run from the mundane, or turn away from the parts of life that you deem to be, or judge to be, boring, not pleasurable, or grandiose enough. Everything doesn’t need to be built up or huge. Allow the building, moving and shaking so to speak, to rise up and out of nothingness. Sometimes, nothingness feels like a grounded plain-ness. Continually restructuring the outside world as a way to find inner peace and joy is a fool’s game. It’s a way to turn away from self and actually hide, ignore, deflect and stay safe. It’s a way to conjure up new ways to feel worthy and valuable when, deep down, those feelings aren’t grounded or founded. Obviously, living externally is important and not to be ignored. One can make lots of impact in the lives of others by taking solely to living in this outer and remaining unaware of the depths of the internal. As we can see, this is the way most people live. But right here and now you’re being reminded of the truth. The internal must be cultivated and better understood. No matter how much success, pride or worth you gleam from the restructuring of your outer self, to please others and/or positively impact the world, it’s going to continually fall short in your own heart’s fulfillment. There will always be a void, an “I’m not enough” type feeling. This may lead to “I need to do more, change more, restructure more.” Outer actions founded in the external only can hide the authentic you as well as drive you towards fatigue, overwhelm, sadness and delusional thinking. 

Before analyzing how you’ve controlled life or purposely structured it to feel value and before making any changes we want to first digest these past decisions and look to add some things into your life to help foster this new perspective change. There must  be increased time spent going within to experience and cultivate the parts of yourself you don’t love. It’s time to compassionately love them again. For many, this is related to “mother energy” or “mother wounding” (btw-this doesn’t automatically mean you had a “bad” mother.) This could relate to your mom, and the ways of being or belief systems she passed down to you. What you’re being asked to do is to cultivate, for yourself, more of an unconditional mother love. Mothers have the capacity for unconditional love and that is what you are to increase towards yourself in the now. Here are some remedies to support this process.   1. Mother Mary: Connect with Mother Mary. You can create a little alter with a picture of her. You can pray and talk with her daily. If there’s another nurturing, female deity or being you feel connected to please do. 
  2. Connect with Moon: Do a little reading on the astrological energies of the moon. Read about some simple spiritual practices that can be conducted on the new and full moon. Commit to practicing a full and new moon ritual for the next few months. 
  3. Being Held by the Feminine- Choose a few of your most comfortable blankets. Close eyes and make an intention for the Divine Feminine (Mother Mary, etc.) to become these soft, nurturing blankets. Comfortable wrap yourself up as if being held or hugged by this female energy. Enjoy being held and unconditionally loved. 
  4. Making any adjustments to your home or portions of your home in order for it to be a soft, calm, relaxing, nurturing and welcoming space.
