“I sat down to analyze the astrology chart. I glanced at the first house and as I did something ‘clicked’. It was like a flash of light, then time and space slowed down. I never looked at another planet, zodiac sign or anything else for that matter. I just started writing and an hour later the information about this person was on paper in front of me. I was shocked and amazed, especially when I was told how accurate it was. Since then, ‘clicking’ into my intuition has become easier…as long as I trust!”

Photo 5Here we are in week 8 of our Awakening in 2014 newsletter series, and it’s now time to discuss increasing out intuitive abilities.

And head’s up! Connecting with your intuition (AKA Higher Self, 6th Sense, Spirit, etc.) is not magic or made up. It’s one of the many amazing tools you have for growing and evolving on this ride called life.

Everyone has an intuition and the ability to use it to connect with the helpful information existing above and beyond the thinking mind. Doing this is like reaching beyond the stress-guided decisions into a place that sees things a little more accurately.

This reminds me of the book by Richard Carlson entitled, Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff…and Oh Yeah…It’s All Small Stuff. By accessing “higher knowledge” we are able to step out of the “sweating” in order to see situations and issues more clearly and therefore make a better, more accurate decision.

There are three phases people typically go through when learning about intuition:

1. Believing you have an intuition

2. Learning to connect and listen.

3. Trusting (this is the most challenging for many people)

Here are the Steps

1. Daily Retreat: If interested, you are going to want to review this #1 Awaking in 2014 strategy. There is no point in going in farther if you are not going to include a daily opportunity for your body to let go of stress and baggage in order to bring more light from Divine Pure Consciousness. This paves the way for a stronger intuition and more importantly the ability to trust the information that arrives.

2. The Practice: Practicing this flow will grow your intuitive abilities. Once you have this practice down things will begin to flow on their own. You could always contact me for a Transformational Healing Session in order to continue your growth or find a book on the subject.

A) Meditate for five or more minutes. See #1 Daily Retreat Above.

B) Breathe through the nose for three to five minutes at a three-second pace: three seconds on the inhale and three seconds on the exhale. As you breathe, take your attention to the very back portion of the roof of your mouth and notice the breath passing by this area.

C) Visualize a small flame just above this top-back mouth region (the farthest back place on the roof of your mouth that your tongue can reach back and touch) for 15 seconds.

D) Ask open-ended questions (no yes or no questions) that aren’t emotionally driven. A great place to start is advice for the day. Ask your intuition for guidance for the day and then let go and allow the thoughts, sensations, or “knowings”* to arrive. Once you feel like you have received the guidance, write it down. Writing is very helpful for bringing this spiritually driven information into a more concrete form.

E) Don’t judge the information that comes up, just record it. Some of it may not make sense or you may not understand. This is a practice, and over time this will improve. In the beginning, just trust that this is the information you are to write down.

*Most people go into this thinking that they are going to see intuitive information because we are such a visual society. Plus, there are so many movies and books about psychics who often describe what they see in their mind’s eye. However, while some of you will see thoughts and pictures arrive many of you will instead feel a sensation, emotions or “knowing” of information. Write down whatever comes up and with it any thoughts as to what this means for you.
