Consciousness Cocktail: Anger Management

Preparation:

1. Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths. (is helpful to meditate for 3-5 minutes)

2. Bring to mind the reason you’re angry. Pay attention to the region in your body that seems to “ignite” with the memory. In other words-where in your body (usually somewhere within the torso) does the memory (or hot emotions) seem to be coming from.

Clearing and Soothing

3. Breathe through the nose. Build the breath to a 3-second pace. A nice long inhale for three seconds, then exhale for 3 seconds.

4. Guide your inhale into the region of the body holding your anger. Imagine the breath softly caressing the angry region the way a mother would soothe an frustrated/upset child.

5. With each exhale carry a portion of your anger out.

6. When ready, relax the breath.

Roses

7. Call in a spirit guide, angel or Ascended Master (Jesus, Krishna, Mother Mary, Yogananda, etc.). Visualize them placing cooling and soothing roses into the region that was holding the anger. Feel these healing roses soothe and heal the region.
