Desires: Key Checkpoints on the Roadmap of Life

Part 1:

1. Make a T chart on a blank piece of paper.

2. Label the left side of the T chart, “Desires”

3.  Label the right side of the T chart, “Emotions, Sensations, Body Location”

4. Take three deep breathes and then sit quietly or meditate for 2-3 minutes. Place your hands on your heart and make an intention to connect with your deepest and truest heart’s desires. Note: never judge your desires or feel selfish when thinking about them. Remember…these are key checkpoints on the road map of your life.

5. As a desire comes into mind, record it on the left side of the page. Really get into thinking about experiencing the desire and record any words or descriptions that come up regarding this desire.

6. Notice what emotions and sensations come up when you are thinking about the desire and where in the body these emotions and sensations are felt. Record this information on the right side of the T chart next to the corresponding desire.

Part 2:

Reread through your list and highlight the 2-3 desires that speak to you most or seem to be calling you more than the others. Then, make a plan to go out and experience those desires. Get going!
