Gaining Clarity on the Big Stuff: The Eye of the Storm
Use this procedure if you’re going through a difficult situation and it’s keeping you up at night. When we’re involved in a tough situation or issue we try everything we can to avoid or get rid of the pain and discomfort. We often times say things like, “Please God, make it go away!” etc. Maybe there is a better way to process this situation and the feelings around it.
- 1. Sit down or lay down and get comfy.
- 2. Connect with the emotional pain, discomfort and intensity. Locate it within yourself: go there and feel into it. it may be a color, sensation, certain size or other type of experience. Do this for around 1 minute (or more if you feel necessary).
- 3. Then visualize yourself within this storm of emotions that you have been viewing. Once there, take a look around. You will be guided to move towards a calm within this emotional storm. Find this calm eye of the storm and sit down there in a meditative posture.
- 4. *From this place ask a clarifying question like: What question should I ask to gain clarity on this issue (once this question comes to mind ask it)? If that does not work for you try What must be done to take care of this issue?” or What needs to be release, cleared and healed in order for me to move on from this stress?
- 5. Let go and allow the answer to come forward.
- 6. Record information and enjoy the energy shift.
*Example: I was upset because I wasn’t making much money and I was worried about paying my bills each month. At times I thought about giving up and would lay in bed in emotional pain asking questions like, What do I have to do to make money?” or “Why am I still feeling this way?” or “Should I give up and do something else?”….of course this was painted with some other colorful language and negative self talk. I decided to practice the above flow and realized quickly that the question I was looking for was specifically, “How can I be prosperous while making the world a better place?” The energy shifted and new answers were able to flow in at that moment and forever. A key point here is much of this is about the energy shift.
